HRIA Membership - Development and Management

Policy

The HRIA membership of different types is extended to the HR professionals working in IT/ITES/BPO industry.

Individual Membership

Individuals, working as HR professional in IT (Software/Hardware)/ITES/BPO/KPO organizations & which are registered under companies act to carry out the said business. Past Presidents and Founders are eligible to become a Member of HRIA, by paying the requisite fees, irrespective of their engagement status in any industry.They will be eligible to participate in HRIA elections.

Corporate Membership

IT (Software/Hardware)/ITES/BPO/KPO organizations & which are registered under companies act to carry out the said business. They will be eligible to participate in HRIA elections as per the applicable membership rule.

One Time Fees:

  1. Person who is eligible to be an Individual member in normal course but has not taken membership can attend the HRIA Conference by paying one time contribution of Rs. 750 (exclusive of all Taxes (such as GST) applicable from time to time) per Conference. . This person will not have the right of contesting or voting in the Election of HRIA.
  2. Associate is a person who is :
    1. Engaged with Employee Benefits Administration, Employee Taxation, Training, Recruitment, Employee Legal field AND
    2. Not eligible to be a Individual member but associated with HR and IT/ITES/BPO, as Advisor Trainer, Consultant can attend the Conference by contributing one time contribution of Rs. 3000 (exclusive of all Taxes (such as GST) applicable from time to time per Conference. This person will not have the right of contesting or voting in in the Election of HRIA.
      (Membership will not be extended to individuals from IT enabled Organizations. For Example like Flipkart, JBong, Ola, Mastercard, VISA, Zomato, LinkedIn, Facebook etc.)
  3. For past Managing Committee Members:

Past managing committee members of HRIA chapters who are not part of IT/ITES industry can become associate member by paying annual fee of Rs.1500/- plus taxes applicable. They will not be eligible to contest or vote in HRIA elections. they can however be invited to hold any administrative post on the invitation of founders & Governing Council.

Guidelines:

All type of Membership Fees and Conference contribution received by HRIA attracts all Taxes (such as GST) applicable from time to times.
Maximum 5 HR employees nominated by the IT / ITES / BPO Company under Corporate Membership will have the right of contesting or voting in the Election of HRIA.
In HRIA financial records and also on Receipt, the amount of Fees and  all Taxes (such as GST) applicable from time to times needs to be maintained by Chapter AVP, for each case / Individual, as suggested by RC Jain and Associates, CA and Tax Advisor for HRIA. Membership Vertical Head – GC needs to check these records and Membership List in prescribed format and notify to GC on Quarterly basis.
The program invitations should be sent to members in the  approved list and any other eligible HR professionals in IT/ITES /BPO industry only.

Procedure:

  1. The membership Fees will be accepted preferably / only by cheque by the Chapter Director – Membership who is responsible for verifying the eligible members based on the eligibility criteria and other rules mentioned in this document. However, the final accountability of the same will be with Chapter President.
  2. If Individual is found non eligible and by mistake Fees / Contribution is collected, then the Programme fees for each programme attended till then will be deducted and rest of the amount, if any will be refunded immediately to the concerned person.
  3. This membership is nontransferable and is valid for one year from the admission / renewal date or date of the payment received, whichever is earlier.
  4. Only the eligible member have right to vote during HRIA Elections
  5. Only the eligible members depending on the Election norms have right to contest
  6. Member ceases to be a Member of the HRIA as soon as He / She moves out of IT/ITES/ BPO industry. However will be allowed to attend the programs till the completion of membership period.
